As you know, A person cannot be always good at dealing with every gadgets or modern technologies. In my case, I feel comfortabe when I can make use of some of them. For example, thanks to my lovely car, I don't have to wait for the bus to come. Because of my lap top computer on my desk, I can finish my paper work, play games, shop on the internet malls. Sometimes I feel difficulty in doing them, especially for a program which is updated every year like, Hangul 2004, and 2007. When I use the updated programe, I don't feel familiar with it. But I just try to use and practice it.
It is obvious that high technology gives us extremely convenience, however, it has brought tons of problems, too. For example, we are losing our health because of cars. After starting driving, I became a weak walker. It affects our environment fatally. Also, many people feel uncomfortable when they don't carry their cell phones. Computer makes us easily search for much information, but there are many children addicted to it. Though I'm not a luddite, I don't want to live in that fast-changing world.
As you know, there are plenty of ads and disads. this time, i want to focus just on disadvantages. Tech stop people from meeting people. it saves time and money, but it also gives us not to move around, which means fewer chance to talk to others. simply put, you don't need to go to the market to buy groceries, instead you can just order through the internet. you also don't need to meet, you just log on a internet site and it allows you to talk through the internet, which i don't like
Hi Young, I like the photo at the top of your page...it makes me feel calm. I'm a technophile so I love technology for everything. I can use it for teaching, communication, edcuation and entertainment. I study online, walk with my mp3 player, communicate with my parents with video chat, read ebooks and so on.
I am kind of a luddite, though, I like technology, cause it can give us convenience. One thing that I miss is writing a letter amongst friends or acquaintance. I don't like e-mail. I want to get hand writing letters.
